I have never had a problme with mine, however its in a place i can cover up or show off as needed (on the small of my back) Be aware that they can fade if you dont put sunscreen on them. Other than that if you may have a conservative job at any point in your future just make sure its somewhere you can hide it easily to avoid any problems. Also if you are jewish it is a big no no---a jewish freind of mine said something to the effect of you cant have a proper jewish burial if you have a tattoo because you desicrated your body.

No, but if you're considering getting one, keep in mind that your skin over the years stretches and/or sags and that tiger or chinese lettering that may look so macho now, may look like a picture of your aunt millie sucking on a washrag in a few years. It's no different than carving your initials in a tree, the design doesn't last on something that grows.

Depending on where the tattoo is it can inhibit you from getting certain jobs because it is "unprofessional". With a partner it would depend on their morals and values. Some people view tattoos as a sin.
