Well I really like this guy but he us afraid to admit that he likes me because my friened said that he doesn't think that I would like someone like him. And I just don't want to throw myself at him, as if I'm desperate.

Just start talking to him. You'll eventually become comfortable with each other. Tell him you like him and ask him out; he sounds too shy to do it.

Honestly hon if he really liked you he would be showing it. Maybe he likes you but he is not ready for a relationship I would just stay friends. You are too special to deal w/ that kind of bullshit trust me some guy put me on that roller coaster for 1 1/2 b4 it is so not worth it.

It's not that hard. Ask him out without using your friend as a buffer. You don't have to sound desperate just a 'hey you wanna go catch a movie.' will do. If he says yes, then fantasitic. If he says no then move on

just continue to be good friends with him. you might risk losing a friendship by telling him your feelings.
on second thoughts, it's ok if u do.. the awkwardness may not last long...
basically, keep that friendship. play by ear if u have to. but dont do stupid things which may risk the frienship.

Talk to him about little stuff that is unimportant like the weather and if he is intrested he will continue to talk to you. If he thinks you are out of his league then you will just have to waiy until he fells comfortable to talk to you.

i would say, get to him before he gets over you!!!...
that happened to me, one of my best friends liked me and got over me (i had no idea) then i liked her,and told her, and shes all like ' sorry, but im over you now, if only you acted sooner '
