Isn't it to Warn us? Like the Creator gave Pharaoh of Egypt a dream? And Joseph said it was to warn of 7 years of plenty, followed by 7 years of drought? And Pharoah had the wisdom to accept the prophecy, and the Egyptians stored grain for 7 years. And when the drought came, they were able to feed everyone in Egypt, with "enough to spare" to feed the surrounding peoples.

Prov 1:7
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.

God isn't a "user friendly" stand-in for Santa Claus, or a kindly grandfather'ish figure who is amused by our misbehavior. He will be our judge on Judgment Day.

The book, "Left Behind" got my attention. I was worried about Judgment Day.

But His love is demonstrated by His Son's death on the cross for our sins.

Some people just will never understand. The entire Bible is a warning for man not to destroy himself. Unfortunately, man is doomed to destroy himself. We have everything right there in the bible to tell us how to cure everything and be able to live forever. Some people just don't believe or care and therefore, this is the frustration of the entire thing. GOD gave man the freedom to choose between good and bad. From the condition of this world, man is not choosing the good side. Thank you and may GOD come soon to correct the wrong that has been done to this earth.

Hello,
The Book of Revelation was written by the Apostle John while he was held prisoner by the Roamans at the Isle of Patmos. His words were written to the Churches of our Lord and Savior to let them know that they were not forgotten and that everything the Romans were doing to them would be answered eventually... and it was. It was written in the manner that it was so the Roman soldiers would allow the materials to get thru to the churches. They understood the writings at that time. Many today want to take it literally and it was NOT written literally. Much of what was written had to do with the Roman empire and has already passed. Have a great week.
Thanks,
Eds

The apocalyptic and coded way John presents Revelation in is simply hard to grasp even after a large amount of study. most people never even get to the actual meaning.

God is warning us, in the same sense as a mother might warn her child against crossing the road without looking for cars with an "or else". God's "or else" is hell, but hell is not something God enjoys doing, it pains Him terribly, its just the result of our sin.
For example, you mother tells you not to touch the stove because it's hot. So you touch it and get a second degree burn, the burn is not something you mother wanted for you, it's just the result of your disobedience.

It was the writings of an angry exile. John was angry just like Dante was angry. Doesn't make it true.
