See a GI specialist (gastroenterologist), and never feel like an idiot for going to the doctor. Not to scare you, but my Grandfather died of esophageal cancer that was primarily brought on by an un-treated hiatal hernia. A very common symptom is acid reflux. Check this out:

generally with a hiatal hernia the indicators are extra on by skill of ingesting particular meals. meals which will tell the tummy to secrete abdomen acid. It sounds slightly unusual for a hiatal hernia to reason consistent discomfort and not a heartburn variety of discomfort. The nexium is a good drug to regulate abdomen acid and if that works then the undertaking stems from the hernia. if it rather is so then for the quick term, staying on the drug is clever. If the drug makes no distinction then it's time to seek for something else. it rather is while an extremely-sound is clever to seek for gallstones. in the event that they are got here upon, this could properly be a reason for the discomfort and surgical technique is the only option. no longer the rest removes them. the assumption of a gallbladder flush is nonsense. The surgical technique is now performed utilising a laparoscope and is minimally invasive. artwork with your well being practitioner in this curiously such as you're doing the the appropriate option issues. now and back it takes time and persistence to locate the reason for discomfort.

I have had a hiatel hernia since I was 16 years old. There usually brought on by stress, worry or straining and heavy lifting.I had a crushing feeling in the middle of my chest when it would swell.I couldnt breath very well because it would push into my windpipe, making it hard to get a deep breath.Usually you have strong heartburn or acid reflux.I took pills for a while to heal up some of the ruptures. Laying down flat will aggravate it more.Sleeping with a couple pillows at night will help raise you up some and cut down on the discomfort. You can see your general praticioner to get a diagnosis, then they can suggest a specialist if they feel you need one.I havent had to have surgery or anything.I just have to watch what i eat and try not to strain myself.Good luck to you I know how painful they can be.
