They came to Tennessee from Oklahoma to tell my mom she is living in sin and they wanted her to pack up her things and go back with them.She is 63 years old and she has been married 3 times and they think she's going to hell because she didn't stay married to her first husband (my father) who was molesting us kids.Now if God wants you to stay married regardless of whether you are protecting your kids then I don't want anything to do with that kind of god.But that's how some of them Christians think.It's very sad.

I know. My grandmother almost disowned my mom because she left her first husband who was beating her and my brother. He also raped my sisters and almost killed my mom once. However, she was going to hell and should never have left the bung hole.

Your cousins obviously don't know (or they ignore) the fact that the divorce rate amongst Baptist believers is very high. If they can divorce and re-marry, then why can't your Mom? They should be minding their own business and not interfering, especially when it sounds like your Mom and the family went through a lot of suffering.

Not everything we see and hear is of God. Divorce is not the unforgivable sin. If your mother had left your father in order to protect you kids, then she did a righteous thing. None of us are perfect and we all have our weaknesses. Her sins are between her and God. You should all be praying for her. Only God can change her life.

they are wrong in casting judgement.... i think they forget that 'in good will' has to apply. obviously your father who was molesting you kids was not acting in 'good will' and in protecting you and your siblings she did the right thing. God put wisdom in her to protect the children she was given from harm....
as far as the 'remarriage' thing.. i think each person needs to work that out with God.. only He can guide them and judge if what they do is right or wrong....

yeah christians are not right in the head, I was raised in it since birth, but I realized that christians arent all about love peace and tolerance, which is what they preach about.

I asked one guy if my grandfather is in hell. He responded 'did he know the Lord?' I said no and he responded 'then he is in hell'.
