Homosexuality harms no one. To persecute and deny rights to someone without just cause is immoral. God-believers hide their immorality behind such excuses as "following God's will" and "protecting traditional marriage," but what it really boils down to is, they want everyone to think and act as their archaic religious doctrines instruct. Conformity comforts them; pluralism frightens.

Exactly what rights have been taken away from homosexuals? There are hate crime laws to protect them. If someone beats up a homosexual, they will get the book thrown at them. If a husband beats up his wife, he's given a "good talking to". What about that case where a Mormon girl was being picked on because of her faith, but because she said "That's so gay", she got in trouble. The boys asking her if she had 10 mothers got away with attacking her religion. It seems homosexuals already have more rights than some people.

May God Bless you.

Jesus told His disciples to go to all the lands and teach people about Him. So that is what we are doing. Basically that's what every religion does, teach outsiders about their faith and hope some will see the light and convert. If they don't all we can do it pray and move on.

God says He didn't create humans to have gay sex. He destroyed two large cities that had gays living there. He tells us throughout the BIble many time the immoral sex is sin of the fless and it will be the sin that destroys the world. And now we have many STDs and HIV and AIDS and millions of abortions annually, NAMBLA, publicly open gays and they are fighting for equal marital right and tax rights and insurance rights. Don't you see a pattern going on here?! Immoral gay sex is destroying the world.

Hate me all you want for my comments, but I am a Catholic, I believe in God, I read and study the BIble and I have the right to speak my mind. Just like you do. May God have mercy on us all.

If you base human rights on "God-given rights" and homosexuality is NOT a "God-given right," then you aren't taking anything away.

If you base human rights on a sort-of survey of civilizations, then most civilizations and countries aren't anywhere NEAR the Universal Decl of Human Rights, for example, so it would be hard to say WHAT you are basing the demand for homosexuality and rights on.

And there's always muslim countries, which tell you right up front that their laws ARE god's laws, and that god likes homosexuals to be stoned to death, and killed in other ways.

God clearly states that we are to love everyone, the homosexual, the murderer, the theif... And he also clearly states that HE AND HE ALONE can judge right and wrong. So no, Christ followers have no right to take away human rights as set by the government. We are, however, responsible for telling them that God says that what they are doing is wrong (not judging them because God layed down the law in the bible against homosexuality, murder...).

people are throwing stones at you? they have taken away your rights? if speaking the truth as God's word says to us... causes you to feel convicted of something... that isnt 'our words' but God's.... one of my best friends died of aids contracted thru homosexuality 'acts'... i never shunned, nor condemned nor threw stones at him... I loved him as my brother...

if someone doesnt 'like' what you are doing... and you don't 'like' what they are doing... neither person is throwing stones.. they just differ on their opinions... but if you are "feeling" it as an attack on your rights when they feel differently... you probably need to check yourself as to why it makes you feel that way!

god should be the only judge, let he who is without sin cast the first stone... all sins are the same in god's eyes, it's people who apply degrees of worth

I agree with you!

God says "Vengeance is mine. I will repay."

Even if something is condemned in the scriptures it is not up to the individual Christian to pass judgment, to "throw stones" as you say.

We are told, as Christians, to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute. Surely, this is even more applicable to those whose lifestyles do not agree with the Bible.

That is God's place. Not ours.
