People always have the option of Suicide, so then why should the government intervene? Suicide, eventhough it is a horrible thing to do or even suggest, is still and always will be an option; fact of life it is the people's choice of "euthanasia" without any body else's assistance but oneself. Yes, depression is treatable and people should seek help asap, but the terminally ill, unless they believe in miracles, have the option of ending their own life. It is a sad situation any way you put it...

Euthanasia should be legalized for terminally ill people - period. If we will show that mercy to our pets, then we should absolutely show the same mercy to other human beings.
As a sufferer of severe chronic depression, I feel that euthanasia should not be an option, for several reasons. First, there are many affordable treatment options out there. It takes a few months of trying different medications to find the right one and the right dosage. Second, there are also many alternative options for treating severe depression including surgery. It would be a shame for someone to feel that there is no hope when they can truly be happy again.

for terminally ill people I think yes. If someone knows they're last year or few months are just going to be them loosing their ability to enjoy life and in pain they should have the right to die in a peaceful way.
For people who are sevierly depressed, they just need to seek help. There's no such thing as haveing no options in life. Even somebody who is completely broke, homeless and jobless can go to a shelter, and people will help them get cleaned up and find a job. There are always options in life.

People who are terminally ill suffer lots of pain and sometimes wish to die. But studies have shown that, when the pain is reduced or controlled, the patient will change their minds and choose life. Misery doesn't mean death is the solution.

I agree with "mlgable". Depression is treatable - not terminal. No for this. I believe the terminally ill should have the right to determine their own fate. It will be the last decision they can make.

you're 23. Your existence has infrequently started out yet. in simple terms look at it this way: in case you ended all of it now, you will never have the means to work out an afternoon while issues gets extra effective. And that's ok which you're a virgin. human beings in simple terms make intercourse look like some variety of subject you should do. save it for a guy/female which you fairly love. i'm sixteen and have faith me, a lot of folk have had intercourse at my college, yet out of all of those, i decide directly to maintain my legs closed. intercourse isn't something you decide on. And being 5 foot 5 isn't any reason to kill your self. i'm in simple terms 5 foot a million and get picked on approximately it a lot, yet after a on the same time as that's like 'who cares?'. So what while you at the instant are not some 6 foot 8 guy? i understand somewhat some adult men/female that are into shorter adult men. It gets drained seeing the freaky 6 foot adult men. do exactly no longer do something you would be apologetic approximately. human beings get depressed, they have undesirable days. i must be youthful, yet i understand what melancholy is. i attempted to end all of it as quickly as, and that i be apologetic approximately ever thinking it. issues get extra effective.

Not for depression. Depression is TOTALLY treatable. For terminal illness? Yes, I think so. A kind doctor gave my father a little extra morphine when he was dying of cancer and ended his suffering. Thank God.

No, and ESPECIALLLY not for the severely depressed. That's a horrible idea! Most people at some point or another fall into some sort of depression. Even those in horrible depressions usually eventually become cured or their symptoms alleviated.

Absolutely! People who are terminally ill and suffering each and every day should have the choice to end their lives. No one should have to live in pain each day... thats not living

I don't think so. I feel for anyone who has to suffer with a terminal illness but it would still be suicide.
