Sugar Ray Robinson, Harry Greb, Willie Pep, Henry Armstrong, Joe Louis, Muhammad Ali, Rocky Marciano. Not in any order.

Delahoya spanked Quartey, Ike got knocked down twic...Oscar got it once. Oscar threw the most flurries and connected the most jabs and power punches...how did he lose? Which fight were you watching?
I think pound for pound is a crown for the boxing eras.
Sugar Ray Leonard, Roberto Duran, Oscar Delahoya, Felix Trinidad, Antonio Tarver, Shane Moseley, Julio Cesar Chavez,
Roy Jones Junior, Manny Pacquiao, Finito Lopez are among some of the greats that can be considred the best pound for pound.

Sugar Ray Robinson, both Ali and Ray Leonard have said that they cannot be ranked higher pound for pound than the real Sugar Ray.
If you are basing it on titles held then you have to consider Henry Armstrong who held 3 title at the same time or once again sugar ray robinson who fought in the welter and middleweight divisions at the same time.

the best pound for pound is really a tough answer, but you have to go with sugar ray leonard with ali . he has accomplished everthing a fighter can, and has beat every big fight he has had no other fighter has done that in their prime. oscar is ok but he beat alot of guys waaaaay pass their prime. and looked pretty bad against trinidad, vargas, mosely and hopkins and let's not forget the quartey fight in which i thought he lost and he's got another lost coming against floyd mayweather so he can't be considered one of the best of all time. so we'll have to put ali and ray robinson a close second.

there are many! the lightweights have many, but many people consider suger ray robinson the best ever! in modern times, i thought suger ray leonard was the best after he went up in weight and beat marvin hagler, also one of best pound for pound fighters ever! and do not forget roberto duran! he is a jerk, but one of best pound for pound fighters ever! there is no real answer to that question because all fight fans have opinion, and it is hard to say! for heavyweights, muhammed ali is best!
