Pie and mash with green liquor gravy. From a good old fashioned pie and mash shop. Not jellied eels though.

I'm an American (born and raised) but I love bangers and mash. Don't know how "traditional British" it is, but the Irish pub down the street where I used to work would sometimes sell out of it during the lunch rush hour.

Why can't we have more "pubs" serving this kind of food in America? All we have is B.S. fast food. ugh.

I think a lot of British food is bland...yorkshire puddings and such. I would go for fish n chips myself.
