My PSA was shooting up rapidly so my doctor put me on external X-ray. I had to go on this large machine that circled my body concentrating massive X-ray on the cancer. Treatments were daily for about two months.
The effects of the rays were not pleasant. Somehow, the cancerous spot was missed. It was all for nothing.
Next, I was put on the "golden" shots. Gold, not because of the material or the color - - - but the cost.
One shot per month. After about two years, my PSA came down to almost zero. It's beginning to sneak up a little again now.
Other treatments are implanting radioactive "seeds" into the prostate gland, and complete removal of the gland.
Talk over the possibilities with your doctor. Be sure to understand each of the methods. Take his advice on which method he would use if he had the cancer.
And please remember that having prostate cancer is not necessarely the end of the line. I'm well up in age, and doing fine.
I wish you the very best of luck.

I have read this and I couldnt believe what I was reading. You dont have to believe me if you dont want to, but in my opinion, its worth a try. I went on a reputable site for all sorts of cancers. They told me that for prostate cancer I should be taking a cup of fresh red raspberries a day for however long I need it. This is what it said. The website is full of natural cures for cancers and alternative cures for cancer. You can try it, it doesnt hurt, and its inexpensive. Also, you can also try aloe vera. This is really big in my country so dont think Im just thowing things at ya.....Buy a fresh aloe vera plant from a flower shop. Cut off the pricks. Cut a chunk off and throw it into a blender with vanilla ice cream. This is going to be extremely bitter so try your best. This has been proven in my country to cure cancer. If you can force the doctors to give you Vitamin C, it would be AWESOME. This is a really good cure for cancer, but doctors have been covering it up becaus eits soo cheap, natural, and everybody knows about it. The only thing is, you have to get the liquid form that goes straight itno your blood. The amount/formula for the vitamin C is going to be 1 mmol/L and/or 10 grams per 12 hours. This is the amount they are supposed to give you. Now you really have to force them to do this because they will say that theres no point, etc, etc. Get a doctor's note from your family physician....(hehe..getting a doctors note for a doctor....as if we are all in high school again...) and have him or her tell the hospital that you really need it for your cold or something like that....Good luck...

My dad has been getting Zoladex "injections" which is really an implant in the abdomen for a couple years and it has brought his numbers down a lot. If you are too advanced you may need to combine the zoladex with radiation.
