The term sexual orientation makes sexuality sound animalistic, no matter what side of the fence you land on.

Does the term "affectional orientation" communicate more about the realities and varieties of human sexuality?

At first glance, does this term suggest to Christians a different way of seeing homosexuality?

Ok. You think it's ok, Christians do not. Try logic here. They, the Christians, use the Bible as their guide. In the Bible it calls relations with the same sex a depravity of the mind and a sin deserving death. With that in mind, do you think changing the name of same sex relations would change them!? You are gullible if you think so!

I doubt it would make any difference.

"Sexual orientation" (or affectional) is a ridiculous concept anyway. We are attracted to people, traits, characteristics, most of which have nothing to do with sex. To try to divide people into just two groups is ludicrous. I'm not attracted to ALL men, nor are all heterosexual relationships "normal". If we can barely even define our own gender, how can we then base a "sexual orientation" on a term that is so impossible to define?

I don't believe in sexual orientation.

Your question is misdirected. It should read "If the term were "Affectional Orientation" (not sexual orientation), would GOD change His views on sexual sin?"

The answer is NO. Just because Christians follow HIS Eternal Truths and Morals, don't try to make this between Christians against gays..... it's Gays against GOD!....YOU have an issue with GOD.....I suggest you take it up with HIM!

i have self belief you and that i have self belief gay those who say that sexual orientation isn't a call. could it make a distinction if it became? Being Christian is a call. Being Jewish is a call. Does it persist with that Christians or Jews could be slandered, bullied, lower than pressure, and discriminated hostile to?

Affecional orientation and sexual orientation are not the same things. Affectional orientation is not part of sexuality.

I have to answer with a question:
What are the Christians going to do about unconditional love that Jesus commanded and still stick to the scripture as it was written above.
How will you get rid of that?

No...no matter what you call it, it is still wrong in God's eyes. God made man to be with a woman. I try to send God's love out to everyone, but I cannot be complacent when asked if being gay is right or wrong....no matter what "orientation" you prefer to call it.

Call it whatever you want, I only see people one way and that is (hopefully) the eyes that God sees them. With love. I try very hard to separate myself from others who would choose to hate, no matter what you call them. I think if everyone tried to see everyone else that way, we would all get along a lot better.

Peace and Love

I dont see them differently now. I respect all people. What goes on in someones life is between them and God not me. Iam no ones judge.

God's way of seeing it>>>

"Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind; it is abomination". - God - (Leviticus 18:22)

" Do not be deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, NOR HOMOSEXUALS.....shall inherit the kingdom of God" ...... And such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God". (I Corin. 6:9-11)
