Was engaged a few years back but the distance was too great according to him. Other than that I seem to have found some really rotten men and ben hurt badly. Good news though. I turned 30 in January, and am now engaged with a baby on the way. Would have preferred to have got married first but as we were both told that we might not be able to have children, I'll accept what I've been given! My guy is not the hunk I always thought I was after, but I'm happy. Wish I'd met him ten years ago!

As a 34 year-old "normal" man (normal as in: average height/build/looks, I have a steady job, I don't live with my parents, I'm not an addict of any sort, etc. etc.), I have not married yet because I haven't found the right woman yet. I think it's different for men and women who have never been married.
In regards to men (for which I am qualified to speak), there are basically only 3 reasons:
1) they are content to be bachelors
2) there's something wrong with them emotionally/physically/mentally
3) they haven't found a woman who meets their criteria...yet

Marriage is only an illusion created by people that needed structure. I ask you this, with the divorce rate being about 1 out of every 2 marriages, why would anyone want to get married. If you love someone, be with them,you don't have to marry them : )

I'm 38 and I haven't married because I tend to meet women who are just like my mom.. and not in a good way!! I usually end up dating manic depressive verbally abusive women - and I really don't have the patience to deal with that! I couldn't see myself living with someone with that kind of personality.

I haven't found the right guy...I want to be married but not to just ANYbody. The divorce rate in this country is through the roof for a reason...

I intend to be unmarried WAY past the age of 30. I wouldn't get married for good money. It isn't good for anything these days.

I stayed in school too long (4 years for undergrad, 4 years for grad school). Next thing I knew, I was over 30!
