No, because you're not technically "in" until you physically leave for basic. The contract would just be nullified.
However, doing so might prevent another branch from accepting you.

Not in the Marines. In fact, you can't receive a dishonorable while you are in boot camp. The worst you can get is a general discharge which goes honorable 6 months after it was given. I don't know about other branches but I don't think you can be discharged at all until you have taken the second oath.

Until you take the final oath before shipping you are not considered as active duty, as stated by another veteran you are in the delayed entry program and can change your mind at any time. Go talk to the recruiters and don't get pushed around. Once you go to boot camp that's it.
Be careful of some of the answers you got here because obviously some are way of like the spouse of the service member obviously hasn't learned much in 13 years.
What ever branch you decide on, just do the best you can and always be true.

before? No, you would be given an adminstrative or general discharge. Until you complete basic you are considered on a probationary status. It is anticipated that there will be recruits weeded out for various reasons, but not under a dishonorable discharge. And if you have not even made it basic yet, you would be administratively separated under conditions defined by whatever circumstances were involved. I can't speak to how thta would affect your ability to join another service but I would think it can only have a negative impact.

The best answer is 'it depends.'
Generally something that causes a contract to be voided for one branch of service would render you ineligible for any branch.
Depending on the conditions this you may be eligible to enlist at a later date. An example here would be if you were injured in a accident before you shipped. If the government voids the contract for this reason you would be eligible to enlist after the doctors give you a clean bill of health.

Usually if you are discharged before basic training you would received a "Failure to adapt" discharge which is General, not dis-honorable. as to joining any other branch of service after getting one of these, the answer is; "NOT".

You can get Dishonorably Discharged in BCT. But, you would REALLY have to mess up big time. Otherwise it is just a General Discharge.

No. Absolutely no.
Before you leave for boot camp you are in DEP. DEP is not the same thing as being in the military. You can be put out of DEP any time you are no longer eligible for enlistment.
You do not get any type of discharge for dropping out of DEP. Your contract is simply void.

Yes you can be dis honorably discharged and I not sure but I don't think that you can join any other branch after that. And if you could why ... if you can follow the rules in one branch what makes you think that any other will want you or that the rules will be any easier?
