Any explainations why I tend to make such sounds ?

my husband does this also
and while we sleep our body goes into a paralysis while sleeping
this affects us from the neck down ... so does affect the vocal chords somewhat ( although not always )
where some people may speak in their dreams , others may just manage a moan

Have you seen a doctor lately? There might be something wrong with you physically, like difficultly in breathing, and the nightmares may be your body's way of telling you something.

You may need to try a sleeping pill for a deeper sleep. This has helped a lot of people tackle a lot of sleep disorders like sleep walking, sleep eating. Good luck.
