I'll concede to charge Rumsfield with treason, but Obama, Clinton, Kennedy, Kerry, et al. Need to be charged as well. Their offenses are much worse than Rumsfield supposed responsibility to the wounded.

At Walter Reed Medical Center it is only 1 small building that is falling apart. That fact must be realized, even though the media is making it sound worse than it is. Given, there is no excuse for that 1 small building being used when it should have been condemned.
Just know that Walter Reed, as a whole, is an amazing, top-knotch facility. The bad egg on the facility will be fixed, and those responsible for that bad eggs use will be fired.
And you can't charge Rumsfeld without also charging Obama, Clinton, Kennedy, and Kerry.

First, I want a massive surprise IG of all Military and VA Hospitals. Second, a massive funding to fix the problems. Besides Israel, the US do a better job in taking care of their veterans in comparison to other nations.
Yes, Walter Reed Hospital is a big disgrace. This hospital suppose to be the best military care in the nation.
The secretary of defense is one person. Look at Secretary Gates. He is taking charge. The Secretary of the Army firing is a step in the right direction. The Senior Officers of the U S Army Medical Corp should be discipline under Uniform Code of Military Justice.

It's 1 building that is run down, an old dorm to be exact. 99% of Walter Reed is a great place.
And you can't put Rumsfeld on the hotseat without also burning Obama, Clinton, Kennedy, and Kerry.

that's in simple terms a preview to what our veterans could desire to anticipate from the government for something of their lives. the previous occasion is the deplorable state that Vietnam Vets back after struggling with that unpopular conflict. lots of them have been drafted into the service, and while they back with emotional issues have been placed into psychological establishments. Then Ronald "The Compassionate Conservative" Reagan freed them to the streets of u.s.. in spite of each and every little thing, they could quite be homeless than be couped up in hospitals. With George "The practise President" in cost, the destiny would not could desire to attend until ultimately the following day, that's right here at present. that's unhappy, in spite of the incontrovertible fact that that's real.

No. Instead, Congress needs to allocate the money necessary to fix the issues. Instead we are going to have 'hearings' that will do nothing to improve anything - just allow partisan political posturing.
BTW - are you aware that these 'horrible conditions' only occurred in part of one building? And that the building is scheduled for demolition?
How much money do you think we should spend on a building that is going to be torn down?

Bush and his henchmen knew of these things long ago. They are just now acting as if they want to do something about it. (Election fears) They want to use the Dr. at the hospital for a scapegoat. All you have to do is look back to 2002 when Vietnam dodging Bush cut benefits to our veterans in both medical and financial areas.
How do you correct it? Elect a government based on their stand for supporting a new bill. It can be called something like the "National Security Anti-American Bill" and state that any government official found to have knowledge of not supporting the armed service personnel shall forfeit their jobs, benefits and citizenship.
You want correction? I guarantee that will correct it. They will start putting the people who are killed and maimed doing the countries bidding on the top of their priorities instead of the bottom like the Republican administration.
Just remember in 2008 who was in charge of ALL THREE of our branches of the government when these ruthless treatments of American Service men and women took place. Pass it on to all of your brothers at VFW and AM VET meetings.

You want to help disabled veterans? Want to make sure they are fought for and provided for? Then support the DAV (Disabled American Veterans) http://www.dav.org Learn more about what YOU can do to help. Get involved, make a donation, do whatever you can. We need all the help we can get. We can not depend on the government for help. The DAV is all about doing whats right for disabled American veterans.
Our vets are coming home to B.S. from the government and we are fighting for them, but like everything else it takes funds and people on the ground doing something. Help if you can.
Thank you.

I am VERY sad when I see and hear that our military personnel are not being taken care of. They are risking their lives for us (or at least for Bush and his friends to get richer!) and what do they get? Many of the entry-level soldiers are not paid well and it seems that they are tossed by the wayside when thy return home.
There is a sizeable population of **homeless veterans** in my area. It is absolutely heartbreaking that don't receive retirement benefits that are sufficient after they've given up 20+ years of their life.
Geez. Our military are not treated well and something needs to be done!!

Nothing has changed since 1975 when I enlisted. Do you want to charge everybody who's been in charge since then?

Here's a thought -- instead of Congress foolishly posing and paying for that independent commission, using all the money for their staff, their travels, their 'posing' for photo-ops, and then the time in those "committee meetings" --
that they ALLOCATE that SUM of money that would be wasted on Congressional FOOLISHNESS
DIRECTLY towards the IMPROVEMENTS, Renovations, and UPGRADES necessary at Walter Reed Hospital so that the VETERANS can BENEFIT DIRECTLY in the shortest time possible!
(instead of these posing politicians who are NOT helping matters in any way EXCEPT for lining their pockets!)
