Mustang GT. Try and find one less than a year old and with low miles on it. Get a Carfax sheet on it to be sure it hasn't been wrecked. Save some money that way.

If you had a few more dollars, I'd suggest a Shelby GT500. Then go to one of the SAAC meetings and get Caroll Shelby to sign the dash or glove box for a donation to his charity. He isn't getting any younger, and when he's gone, the value should rise.

I'd like a little more information, but here are my picks:

Mercedes C-350 Luxury version (the CLK is a great car, too, but starts at $47,000)
BMW 3-series coupe or sedan
Volkswagen Passat 3.6
Acura TL or TSX

I'd get a honda civic hybrid if you want a smaller car. If you are looking for a little more luxury, check out the Audi or Saab brands.

a honda civic/accord hybrid with all the goodies, i bought one for my wife and they are great cars, and i dont even like foreign cars
