I recently told the guy that I've been seeing that since he's insistent on dating other women that I was going to start seeing other people as well, but that him & I could still be friends.
We have been seeing each other for almost 9 months, it's like a relationship & we both have strong feelings & care about one another but he's not ready to committ, but he told me not to fool myself with what I was trying to do.

I have a general idea of what he may have been talking about but what do other people think in their own opinion? I don't know what he thinks I'm trying to do but I'm honestly trying to move on...how is that fooling myself?

He is trying to make you think if you see someone else he is done with you! He wants you to think he is the best thing for you, but he sounds like a fkn loser! move on to someone better

he has a big ego and he thinks that while he doesn't need you, you need him, and you could never get past him no matter what stupid stuff he does. So he's saying' don't fool yourself' like 'don't act like you can do without me, biatch, i know you always gonna be all up on these nutz, and you should realize that too'

He thinks you are trying to use reverse psychology on him and it looks like he really doesn't love or care enough about you to be in an exclusive relationship with you.

Sounds like he thinks you really need him. He likes to think that you're moving on to 'fool yourself' into thinking you don't need him when you do... but we know that you actually don't... don't we?!

sounds like he is full of himself and he needs to get over it. he is trying to put you down by saying things like that, but dont let it get to you, because of you are truly trying to move on, then he should except that too.
