Hey Everyone,

I've been going to Starbucks and Second Cup for years now and always gotten the same thing... coffee.. black. Anyhow today I saw they had a flavored coffee called "Butter Pecan" and I got it. Now are there any extra calories (compaired to a normal cup of coffee) and I should know about?
Its a good cup of coffee but not worth it if its got alot of extra calories in it!

Thanks!

Melissa

YES they are more calories, you can actually go onto Starbucks website and get the nutritional information, I would suggest getting the black coffee, and if you want to flavor your coffee, check out Kroger's non- dairy creamer, they have flavors such as cinnamon and amaretto and french vanilla. They come in fat free as well for a lot less calories. ;)

Starbucks has nutritional information on their website (starbucks.com). if you are just having some syrup with your standard coffee, it's about 20 extra calories per 'squirt'. However, if it is actually a latte, instead of a coffee, it is anywhere from 200-500 calories depending on the size.

yes the flavors do add more calories, since they may use some sugary flavor syrups to the coffee. Another way to think of it is when you get the powdered coffee flavored mixes in grocery stores, they have the incense added in, same with the liquid fresh coffees that Starbucks gives us.

Yes they do contain more calories because they usually contain more sugar and may also contain dry milk.
