Go by the guidelines on the bag, If there are no puppy guidelines, weigh your pup and use that weight to get the starting amount and multiply the amount by 1.5. As your pup gains weight keep adjusting until it gets to your breed recommendations. You may have to adjust up or down for your individual pup. A 5 month old pup needs to be fed a minimum of twice a day-preferably 3 times.

It really does depend what food you're giving him.

With a pups of this age, you should be looking at feeding him twice a day. But as for amount at each feed, you'll need to weigh him and look at the food packet for details

Sorry can't be more exact

Go by his body weight. If he is skinny, up his food, and if he's a bit fat drop it slightly. Remember that each dog has a different metabolism and the feeding guides on packs are just that. i have Gordon Setters and have always given them more than the recommended guide on the side of the pack.

Purina pro plan show a nice guide on their website for judging body weight and how much to feed.

its always better to have a fat puppy (within reason) than a skinny one.

It easy! Do the math! 1 kibble per minute throughout the day. That equals 60 kibbles per hour - or 1440 kibbles per day. Make sure that you are feeding them to the dog one ata time and DO NOT miss any minutes or they will die!
