Because it is so good!

Irish Chocolate Ice Cream
Makes about 12 servings (1-1/2 quarts)

Prep: 20 minutes
Freeze: 8 hours

Ingredients
4 beaten egg yolks
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup milk
3/4 cup half-and-half or light cream
3 ounces semisweet chocolate, coarsely chopped
2 tablespoons instant coffee crystals
1/4 cup Irish whiskey or bourbon whiskey
2 cups whipping cream

Directions
In a heavy medium saucepan combine the egg yolks, sugar, milk, half-and-half or light cream, chocolate, and coffee crystals. Cook and stir over medium heat until the mixture is slightly thickened and bubbly; remove from heat. Beat mixture with a rotary beater until smooth. Transfer to a medium bowl. Cool thoroughly by placing bowl in a sink or large bowl of ice water; stir occasionally. Stir in whiskey.

In a large mixing bowl beat whipping cream with an electric mixer on medium speed until soft peaks form (tips curl). Fold in cooled chocolate mixture. Pour into an 8x8x2-inch baking pan. Cover and freeze at least 8 hours or overnight until firm. Let stand at room temperature for 10 to 15 minutes before serving. Makes about 12 servings (1-1/2 quarts).

Lemmy see!
That's typically a cruel question from a Southerner to enrage us poor folk who are trying to survive pouring rain, blazing winds, raging gales, and so on and so forth.
Look, for the moment I am in a kind of ice without cream every time I dare to put something more than my nose outside, like those dogs of mine, well, they need to get out, so poor me, yeah! Poor me well, where were I...
So, when I think it is already 10°, well, it doesn't feel like 10°...
So, a consumer, in this circumstances of mine is a bit crazy, and it is why he won't buy anything else than chips in Belgium except if he is already full of all kind of warming food and wine or whisky or brandy or the like and believe me, he knows very well he is going to have a coffee later, to warm him again after being iced by the cream!
And I know, what you are gonna say Xico: to long, Clarté!
Meanwhile, it was good fun to write it and I enjoy the ranting very much!
And that's why I am already feeling like a little sunshine all by myself...
Take care and all of you Southerners, eat your ice, eat your cream, eat your ice-cream at our health, we, the already frozen ones!
