you give a very general question - so I will answer in a very general way....
The birth of King Cyrus was prophesied by the Lord over one hundred years before he was born. God did this to show mankind that He is God, and there is none like He is. The Lord not only prophesied King Cyrus’ future existence, but also told in great detail what the King would accomplish on the Lord’s behalf during his lifetime. King Cyrus was not a fictional character. His tomb is in the Middle East to this day. Some of the accounts are found in: Isaiah 44:26, 28; 45:1-7, 11, 13-14; 2 Chronicles 36:22-23; Ezra 1:1-3 and Daniel 10:1.

Every religious sect and culture has its own, "Creation Myth" which sets the moral and cultural values which that particular sect proposes. Therefore, The Bible is the creation myth of the Christians.
I do believe that there is historical proof that some of the people, characters, in the Bible actually existed.

Indeed, it's notably the "evidence" in the Bible which makes something "evident" therein. Paul The Apostle notes what is "evident" from all the "evidence": "That no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, [it is] EVIDENT": Galatians, the only book of the bible written "unto the churches", which should ring a bell when navigating Revelation 2 & 3 says, seven times: He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit said "unto the churches".
Fatherly Paul also notably tells sonly Timothy:
"Evangelist, make FULL PROOF of thy ministry".
Perhaps such "full proof" is also as if fool proof.
(His Grace neither tempts nor can be tempted).
http://www.godshew.org/RevelatorySermons.htm
It's a virtue-all reality God Shew. The safety switch is off.
And the level of DECEIT notably increases as you go;
Unless you "leave the principles" to "go on unto perfection".
MANY shall come...to DECEIVE...shall decieve MANY.
What part of the first and last "MANY" did you not get?
Jews and Muslims will law(kill) you for 'their' reward.
X-ians will also offer you a 'cup' of 'cold' for a 'reward'.
Here's a picture of 'cold', notably from the 'weather channel':
http://www.weather.com/newscenter/slideshow/katrina2.html
False Christs shall arise... to DECEIVE... even "the elect",
IF POSSIBLE. It's obviously possible, looking at GW Bush.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VmrMMVfBqOk
At his second coming GW Bush notably flat out said:
I'll take my rod of iron 'rule of law' globe-all in four yrs.
But my Bible says: whether prophecies, they shall fail!
The evidence does not lie, nor take sides.
It simply makes something "evident" to all.
Even the foren-sick tv shows know that much.
http://www.godshew.org/CurrentEvents.htm
There's "no respect of persons" with God & Son.
Even the Herodians knew that about God & Son.
You too can have partiality with an impartial God? Not!
You two can bend over, double kiss divided @ss bye bye!
More excellent is neither broadmindead nor narrowmindead.
It's "allegory" in both "covenants": Gal 4,
http://www.godshew.org/Allegory.htm
also "mystery": as noted over 20 times in NT.
So then it's allegoric mystery to solve "in time",
lest all (KofG within you) perish, instead of none perish.
PPL: "The last DAY" is neither "time past" nor "last DAYS".
Perhaps "the third day" is the seventh day is "the last day".
Perhaps it's been "the third day" for seven years already.
Perhaps Easter 07 time to re-think crucifixion(sacrifice),
if the will of God is: "I will have mercy, and not sacrifice",
and the "not sacrifice" part is not then, not now, not ever,
and do the will of God PRECEDES receive the promise.

The other wise? Earthy Sensual Devilish... ends Badly!
Perhaps as BADLY as this oxyMORON: Life + DEATH.

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

Sure, there are lots of historical accuracies that have been found to be true through archaeology. Genealogy is also an important factor in the Bible that has been shown to be accurate through digs and research of other ancient texts.

Lots!
the bible is a historical book.
Including;
The town of Ur was found where Abraham lived for awhile
The tomb of Caiaphas the high priest that had Jesus brought to trial was found.
the walls of Jericho found
There's A LOT
then there's all the prophecy. Over 300 alone for Jesus that was fulfilled.

"The Source," by John Clayton, gives plenty of reasons to believe.
Also "Evidence That Demands A Verdict" explains a lot.
The early Christians refused to recant when faced with torture or death; why would they do that for something they made up?

Yes. Archeological tests have been done, History books can track rulers and kings.
There have been scholars in different times who try to disprove the Bible, only to find there is no fault in it, and they convert to Christianity.

Faith in God is more than a theoretical belief in Him. To have faith in God is to trust Him, to have confidence in Him, and to be willing to act on your belief in Him. It is a principle of action and power.
To have faith is to “hope for things which are not seen, which are true” (Book of Mormon, Alma 32:21). Each day you act upon things you hope for, even before you see the end result:
A farmer plants a seed and waters and tends it because he has faith that it will grow.
A student studies hard because she has faith that she will grow in knowledge.
Likewise, faith in God requires that you act with hope and trust in Him, before you see the final outcome. It also involves doing all you can to bring about what you hope and pray for.

Sure. The bible mentions many people who we know actually lived, and places that actually exist(ed).
The parts about God existing, creating the world, having a son, sending people to heaven, et cetera, are completely false and have no supporting evidence. Also some of the people probably didn't exist. There's no evidence for Moses, for example.

There is plenty of evidence but really there is no undeniable proof. God makes it that way so that we can learn faith. If you really want to know truth, ask God, and He'll tell you. Check the source.
