I have an uncomfortable problem with a female co-worker that is growing worse by the day. She and I have been friends for several months, and have shared some of the frustrations of both being in long-distance relationships with our fiances. Her boyfriend is in NY, my girlfriend is in St. Louis (our company is located outside Chicago). Last week, while in a storage cubicle she got very close to me and propositioned me in a very forward manner (to avoid a TOS violation with Yahoo, you'll have to use your imagination rather than me describe it). After the shock wore off, I laughed, quickly leaving the suddenly very small cubicle. After that, I avoided her but tried to talk to her in a business meeting the next day only to be greeted with a frosty attitude. Now it seems she is trashing me to my boss. She is a very attractive young woman. I can't imagine she is rejected often by men. What do I do?

wow! i hate when that happens. seems to me, by the way she approached you, that she has done this type of thing before. you are probably not the first. i dont know how your boss or supervisor will handle this coming from both of you if you decide to approach him/her about what happened. my suggestion is to start a journal and write everything down. from the time it happened right up to the present. she may come at you with a sexual harrassment suit just to prove she can get her way. all she is doing is ruining any chance that any man would want anything to do with her. she needs help and seems to me she may end up being a stalker or perhaps spread all kinds of out of control lies to ruin you. she may even contact your girlfriend. just keep a journal and if she gets too out of control you will have no recourse but approach the boss with her wild accusations and possibly even your resignation. this woman is poision.

Talk to your boss. He/she should understand you. Just because he/she is your boss doesn't mean that he/she is not a human being. Your boss has probably been there or experienced something similar before.

Thus, talk to your boss.

You fool! It can only have ended badly no matter what so you should have humped like gorillas while you had the chance!

This is called sexual harrassment. Get legal advice. Make your girlfriend aware before she does.
