Never thought of a Buddist shrine! Great Idea!. I just tell them I'm a born-again athethist, militant-evangelical wing. If that doesn't work just tell them to pis. ... , sorry, go away!

Say that your same-sex partner is out, but you like the idea of thier church and would they marry you? That should get you blacklisted pretty pronto.
Apparently they HAVE to visit every house in a certain district every so often, but we haven't had a visit in years.

Jehovah's Witnesses are very important. They're just about the only way to show non-JW Christians how annoying proselytizing can be.
Seriously, though, just politely tell them that you are not of their faith, have read about theirs, and prefer your own.

They are determined to give everyone a chance to hear the message of the good news of the Kingdom. If you do not want them to visit your door, ask to be put on the "do not call" list and they will honor your request.

When I lived in Mexico, two different times Jehova's witnesses came to our door. We invited them in and on both occasions they became Christians. Actually, two of them (they came at the same time) now work for our missions organization. We've, um, been blacklisted. They won't come visit us now.

I know, they don't give up do they? I object to having people like this invading my privacy especially at 9.30 am Saturday morning as happened 2 days ago. Luckily my husband answered the door and as soon as he muttered 'we are spiritualists' they couldn't get down the drive fast enough!!!!! Probably thought we were of the devil!!!!
