I'm 20 years old, and for the past 6 months i've been having problems with my tonsils. White spots on them, swelling, irritation. I've been to the doctors numerous times to get medication for them. I've used amoxicillian, penicillian, and another type of antibiotic. When I take the pills the infection seems to go away, but them comes back within a month or so. Ive been tested for mono, strep throat, and tonsilitis. I was diagnosed with strep throat, and tonsilitis the first couple times the infection occured. Mono tests came back negative.
I just want to know what's the best thing to do to make sure that the infection does not come back anymore. I've caught it coming back early so no fever has happened since the first couple times. Do I have to get my tonsils removed? Please help.

I wonder if it's from oral sex with my girlfriend or not? Because I wash my hands very frequently, and I take a multi-vitamin everyday. I'm not sure at all. I'm going to to the doctor today, and see what they say about this.
