DETERMINATION and WILL are the key words

Write down your goals in numbers. Skinny doesn't explain it. Give yourself a daily, weekly, monthly, and even yearly goals. Make them small and large (i.e. one less soda today, I will say no to the cake today, I will lose 4 lbs. this month, I will do 30 minutes of cardio 3X this week, etc.) That way you are always achieving a goal. It helps to motivate you and in exchange the results will further motivate. Then you just need to learn what foods to eat. You can lose weight more effectively by nourishing yourself well, than you can by cutting out too many calories. The key is lean protein, complex carbs (green veggies are your best best) and fibrous carbs (like brown rice) all in one meal in moderation. 5 meals like that a day and the fat will melt off. Add in some good ol' fashion heart pumping exercise and some weight lifting and you will shrink away. I have lost 6 lbs in three weeks without feeling hungry, and I feel awesome. Good Luck, and congratulations on making the first step, it's also your first goal accomplished. Feels good, huh?

Life by the inch is a cinch, by the yard it's hard.

You need to exercise and eat healthier. As Jack Lalanne says, exercise is King, and nutrition is Queen, and if you have both, you'll have a marvelous Kingdom.

Stay away from high glycemic carbs. This is where willpower is important. High glycemic carbs are addictive like other substances on this earth. Eat at least 6 times a day, small meals. From my perception it took me about two months to get used to this. Now it's just a habit. Your exercise should be rigorous. You need to get your heart rate up, that is key. You need to lift weights. More muscle burns more calories throughout the day. Women lack the testosterone to look "butch" from working out so don't be scared of weights. You need to challenge yourself continually. Quantify your goals. If you did 8 pullups last week, push for 9 this week. If you did 30 minutes on the bike on level 4 this week. Aim for 30 minutes at level 5 the next. Generally, a rule of thumb is to consume 15 calories per pound of ideal weight you wish to achieve (this varies depending on how intense you are exercising).

Good luck.

You are not alone. Just look around you. This country is overrun by fatties. Because my wife makes too large servings and is a good cook, the only thing I can do is just eat half of what is on the plate, cover the rest with saran wrap and save it for snacks. It helps to have apples or oranges to nibble on. they don't cost any more than candy bars, slightly more than cookies.
For motivation, just look around and see if you can find any real old fat people. You can't. Go to a hospital or clinic and look for skinny people. The ratio of fat to skinny is about 10-1.

Every time you get hungry put the food on a plate. Buy the smallest plates you can so you don't get as much food. You can also keep a picture of a skinny person you want to look like (make sure they're not anorexic) and then a picture of a fat person and ask yourself which one you'd rather be.

I suggest that you try body cleansing. I tried it and really got lean quickly. I lost 15 pounds in 9 days and also 3 inches off my waist. I do body sculpting so getting leaner was my goal. My sister did this program too and she lost a lot of weight quickly. I did not know too much about cleansing but there are a lot of TV commercials about this stuff. This is a body cleanse and not just a colon cleanse, I wanted my body to get lean quickly and this did the trick! don't try and use a diet supplement...those are extremely unhealthy for you and could cause some major problems. Try limiting your calorie intake to around 1500 calories and make sure you are eating balanced meals (fruit, veggies, grains, protein, and dairy). Limit yourself to 1 small snack (granola bar, apple, or crackers) between lunch and dinner. Make sure you are exercising between 30-60 minutes a day, and start looking at food as an energy source...not as something to do when you're bored or just sitting around the house.

Uhm, well, it's not like you should say no to food at all. Limit your caloric intake to 1200 calories per day of healthy choices and get a friggin' hobby that doesn't include eating, cooking or shopping for food. And if you're out of shape, start walking and toning your muscles. If you work out more, you can eat just a little more, healthy choices.

The best day to lose weight is eat healthy and exercise, not by staying away from food. That is starving yourself. To eat healthy incorporate a lot of fruits and vegetables into your diet, along with a lot of protein (chicken breast, turkey and egg whites are some). I hope this helps!

When you get the urge to snack, eat a carrot stick or celery. If you do crave something sweet or salty, give your self a little. Just don't over do it. Working out will help too. Go to the gym or even take a walk or a jog everyday.

Run as much as you can. Skinny girls seem to run a lot. i remember a girl from my old job she ate like a large man. she also ran 7 miles a day. this girl was skinny as a could be with a very nice figure. also its different from not eating. which i also find hard. it is pushing yourself with positive things. yes i can run. yes i will look good as compared to negative no i wont eat no i wont get fat.
