There are many so-called translation websites, like the Babelfish site someone posted - but none of them are good.

Machines can't make good translations. They don't understand the text, they have no feeling for context... they just do a one-to-one translation. If the original text is relatively simple, the result will usually be roughly understandable - good enough to get the gist. But it will in no way be an actual English text.

Do a test: write an e-mail, then put it into http:///www.babelfish.com, German -> English. Copy the result, and put it through Babelfish again, this time English -> German. You'll see what I mean.

there is a program for translation in yahoo web site from Germany "Babel fisch" but it is not so good...
