Read to him/her, show him picture books, sing, talk, let him/her feel different textures (soft fleece, nappy towels, smooth satin), give him/her some tummy and back time and the usual feeding, changing, and napping.
Some babies love to be held, others do not. If your cousin is squirming and crying while you are holding him/her, try putting him/her down (or visa versa).
Take care.

Is he or she gassy? If the baby is crying as if he is in pain, drawing his knees up alot, and seems like he's eating too much, you may not be burping him well enough. If you lay him flat and feel his tummy and it feels hard, it may be gas. Try this- sit him up with his back against your belly and chest. Support his head with one hand, and put your other arm in front of him. Then rock back and forth so that he is bending at the waist, leaning forward slightly. This will help him to pass the gas. It is easier to get a baby to pass gas with a burp, but if you miss one and it gets into his lower end, it can be painful, and he will cry alot. Formula feeding causes more gas than breast feeding. Make sure you burp the baby every couple of minutes during feedings either way. Hope this helps.

Just pick your cousin up (if your cousin isn't too fussy with the idea) and carry him or her all over the place. They love being "in motion" at that age.
Like some people have said before me, definitely talk to your cousin a lot, and don't be afraid to sing to your cousin either. Any attention you give at that age will be very welcome unless the child is either hungry, tired, or needs a diaper change, in which case, you can volunteer to change diapers. :-)
Babies are so much fun at that age. :-)

Rule number one : Even if you sound like complete crap, most babies love it when you sing to them.
Sing, rock, let her/him sleep. Change the diaper after a poop, and everytime you feed them.
Have fun!
