I'm cooking New York Strips for dinner tonight. Unfortunately, I'm stuck using the broiler instead of the grill.

Here's a quick and easy steak seasoning and quick marinade that makes any steak from strip to chuck tender, juicy and delicious. Don't be fooled by the simplicity. It gives a wonderful seasoned flavor that will amaze you. If you're having any guests, they will think you slaved over this. This method works equally well on the grill in summer.

1) Moisten side of steak with lager beer

2) Season with garlic powder, fresh ground pepper and celery salt
***you can substitute regular pepper if you don't have a grinder, but fresh ground is far better for this

3) Flip steak and repeat steps 1 and 2. Proceed to step 4

4) Pre-heat broiler to 500'f

5) Allow seasoned steak to stand at room temp for 15-30 min

6) Broil steak to desired state on each side. Pouring small amounts of beer on steak while cooking keeps the steak moist even when using the broiler

7) Serve and enjoy

Cheers :-)

Dale's, garlic & black pepper. Don't broil, pan sear in a little butter or olive oil for about 3 minutes per side, then place in a 450 degree oven for about 5 or 6 minutes. Remove when to desired doneness, cover with foil and let stand for about 5 or 10 minutes. Very good and tender. The broiler can make thm tough. Good luck.

Season the steaks with the following marinade:
2 tsp of Dijon mustard (grainy)
2 tsp of balsamic vinegar
3 tsp of olive oil
salt and pepper to taste

let them marinade for an hour or so - then pat them dry before cooking/grilling/or broiling
enjoy!

You must marinade! This is the best steak marinade ever!

1 c. soy sauce
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1 pkg. Italian dressing (dry)
1 onion, chopped fine
1 1/2 c. oil

Mix above ingredients and pour over meat. Meat may be cut into 1/2" strips or steaks. Marinade for at least 2 hours.

Get a bottle of Mojo Criollo sauce at the supermarket, and marinate the steaks for a couple hours before you cook 'em. Yummy!

Pound them on both sides and then put them into a zip lock baggie with oil and vinegar dressing or french onion soup mix for about 2 hours in the fridge. Disgaurd the dressing after use. Bake or broil as normal.

What a coincidence! I did the same last night. Use McCormicks Montreal Steak Seasoning. You won't be disappointed! Good luck.
