there is this guy in my class at university.. we are really close friends and i really like him.. everything was going on fine between us and it seemed to me that he liked me back.. my friends also guessed it to be so.. until, recently he told me to give him his space and let him free and he said : "we are just friends, u know"
i was hurt at all this.. i had been thinking that he liked me back all those days.. but..pain striked me so hard when i heard that from him.. i dont know what has gotten over him all of a sudden! i am so confused!
now what should i do? i mean, how should my behaviour towards him be?
A) just as before - indifferent to what happened
B) cold towards him and show that i dont care anymore
C) behave just as a classmate
please give ur ideas and suggestions...

Behave just as a clssmate since that's all he seems to want. He may have seen you as trying to smother him, or make him exclusive to just you when that was not what he ever intended. You may have read too much into the relationship

well guys do strange things sometimes. maybe he did like you, but didn't want it to be exclusive. or maybe he flirts with all the girls.
whatever it is, i'd just try to move on. don't be cold towards him, but not over-friendly either. say hi if you bump into him but don't go out of your way to talk to him.

I think you should just ACT as FRIENDS!, because thats what he wants. Dont try and get him back, because he will realize that he lost a good-hearted person..Just move on, because you deserve someone better, who will treat you right
