No do not fight it. You are almost at the point of reckless driving. Plus it would only be wise to fight it if you were going less that 5mph above the speed limit.

Where you clocked by radar or paced? Were you going 68 or faster? Do you live in Oklahoma, where you would have to option of perhaps attending a driving school in lieu of fines? It is very hard to fight a speeding ticket and win. Generally, the cost of fighting one also exceeds the cost of the ticket.

Plead "not guilty" and more than likely the court will be willing to reduce it to avoid a "costly" trial. However, some states require the defendant to pay court cost if he/she loses so you might want to find out what the law requires of you should you pursue that avenue. Here in NYS, it works everytime! It's basically Russian Roulette and there's nothing to lose if the court says no but much to gain when they say yes!

Um, not really. You almost were at the point where it could be considered reckless driving. What if a small child crossed into the street while you were playing Dale Earnhardt?? A speeding ticket is much less than going to jail for vehicular manslaughter.

I would at least go to Court on the day you are supposed to and see if the arresting officer shows up. If he doesn't show up Demand that the Judge dismiss the charges for "failure of Prosecution"!
Even if the officer does in fact show up you can tell the court your side of the story and he or she may take pity on you and go easy on the fine and costs anyway.
Good Luck!

No, why waste more money on something you already know is wrong. Pay the ticket and obey the speeding laws.
