how can i uninstall a program that appears on the start menu but "is not available to uninstall"?

When I try to uninstall the beta version of microsoft office 2007, it says "setup could not find any available products to uninstall". I can't find the original cd to reinstall it - is there a some kind of file that i can delete instead?
