Do they admire the American Accent as much as we admire theirs. Is it as exotic to them as theirs is to ours?

It is certainly not exotic. British people are very accustomed to american accents due to film and TV. Infact, we barely notice it if someone is talking with an american accent unless it is face to face.

I dont like all american accents, I find some of them very nasal. NYC accent is horrible. The southern states accents are nice though.

I'm french and our problem is that we are more interesting by what people think of our culture than by the other cultures!!!lol

The french used to say that the american accent is a little bit too "nosy" but very cool, relax, it's like chewing a gum! :o)

It's not exotic at all, i would rather say "civilized", we used to say "it's a good stuff, it's from the US" when we talk about technology, so everything coming from the Us is considered as "modern", even the accent.

When we heard US tourists speaking to loudy, we say it sound "pretentious"

I can't say that the french admire the American accent because actually it's not full love between our countries (shame :-(!!!).

I prefer english accent but I like American accent.
