My ex was a smoker. He would always go outside for a smoke and when he finished he would have a mint. So it never felt like kissing an ashtray. He always smelt good. Even though I don't smoke, I did not really have a problem with him smoking, it is just that I was worried about his health.

I don't have a problem with dating it's just smoking in general. I had one guy who smoked a lot and he was nasty and then there was another who smoked very few and he didn't taste like an ashtray. But I don't care for smokers in general. But I prefer not dating a smoker because I really don't want to be around that ****. (My opinion)

I dated a smoker for a while, but he was never considerate enough to use a mint after a cigarette. It didn't like it that much though because after sex, instead of being able to cuddle up for a moment, he would go outside for a cigarette and leave me all alone.

Well, honestly speaking, I would prefer him to be a non-smoker. Not because of the smell or whatever, but because of his health, as you said... I once told my ex that I would kill him if he ever smoked, and thankfully he never did....
~If you love a person, you'll love him no matter what.. but it's his health what really matters.

no because i wouldnt date a smoker..it bothers me to be around smoke quite a bit, im a non smoker and look for that in someone i date

I do have a prob with it but ur ex sounds very considerate! I still think I'd go for the non smoker though.

I don't like smokers because even though you may not smoke and that person smokes your getting second hand smoke from that person because your breathing it in and you can still get lung cancer.

If everything else was in place, smoking wouldn't be a dealbreaker, but smoking would be in the CON list if I was trying to decide whether or not to go out with someone again.

My only problem with my smoking boyfriend is the health thing. I don't want to watch another loved one die from 'complications due to emphysema'.

i am a smoker, and it KILLS me! (literally).
if i werent a smoker, i wouldnt kiss a smoker. its just sooooo
gross. my boyfriend dosent smoke sooooo....we dont kiss.
I will quit !! (someday) :)
