Yes you are protecting your self with the sun screen, but make sure the sun screen is right for your skin. Try to avoid the heat of the day out side and if you have to be in it drink a lot of water, or water with lemon in it for flavor.

Tanning is VERY BAD!!!! It will take up to 10 years for your skin to show the signs of UV damage (wrinkles, sun spots, discoloration). Sun screen will not protect you if you don't know how to use it correctly. Higher SPF's do not mean that they are stronger, it only means that it lasts longer. An SPF of 15 should be reapplied every 1/2 to 1 hour. An SPF of 50 or more should be reapplied every few hours, and after water exposure. Be careful. You may really regret it years from now when there is nothing that will make you prettier, you look 20 years older than you really are, and you've just been diagnosed with skin cancer, which by the way, THAT organ cannot be transplanted!!!! Good luck.

Truthfully tanning isn't ok for anybody. Skin cancer from tanning is forever on the increase thesedays and they still haven't found a cure to cancer, particularly skin cancer.
People don't know how much damage they are doing lying under the tan bed.
If it is sunny, make sure you put a higher factor sun cream/ or cover up, if you value your life and want to live long.

Hi
Make sure you wear a sun screen. You can still tan with them it just stops your skin getting sun damage.
Sun damage - although it looks good when we tan really ages your skin. When you get a bit older you will notice you get a lot of wrinkles really early on and it dries the skin too so wear the sun screen. Very important too for stopping sun cancers.

the biggest threat is overheating. you may no longer experience like you're growing to be warm, fantastically once you've a fan on you, yet your body temperature does boost once you tan. There are also hyperlinks between folic acid deficiency and UV rays...and folic acid is significant contained in the shape of your toddler. even as it hasn't inevitably been shown thoroughly unsafe, it hasn't been shown threat-free both; and maximum well being professionals (jointly with midwives/non "medical" vendors) discourage it. If there's a particular reason you want to be tan and may't be outside to get a touch organic ordinary, attempt a self tanner or bronzer.

OK...here's the good and the bad.
First the BAD.
There is no such thing as an 'OK tan'. There is also no such thing as 'safe' UV. Ultraviolet light in all forms increases one's potential of developing skin cancer. Also, as one who regularly 'tans' grows older (and growing older happens to all of us) the skin begins to show all those fine lines and wrinkles easier. That's the reason Hollywood is full of Cosmetic Surgeons. So...tanning has a great deal of cost (investment) in corrective therapy later in life for the 'nice and sexy tan' some want in youth.
Now...the GOOD news...there is now 'spray-on tanning available for that nice, sexy tan look you are seeking - but without the inherent danger from UV.
The BEST looking woman is the woman who, in her maturity, looks good, feels good and treats herself and her partner just as good. Take that from a mature man.
