YES!!! but you need another pair... one for recieving and transmitting.. tx rx you don't want the computer make the "press to talk" while sending a file and not recieving anything to know every "packets" are OK. some people are using laser pointers or infrared for data transmission. (correct me if i'm wrong)
by the way... it would be sooo slow if you could make it happen since there are noise, line of sight and low frequency band...

Wallie talkies have about 3.5 to 4 khz band with and that is all that will pass. That permits enough of a voice to pass that u can understand a person.

Radio internet works with packets and as far as I know it is HAM radio -- Short Wave. Packets offer high-speed but it is nothing like a steady stream DSL offering a "live" connection.
