The program didn't shake my faith. I am sorry you feel attacked by Christians. They think they are just trying to help. No disrespect.
Again, I know who I am in Christ, and I am sure you know who you are as well. Peace.

Oooh.... you're so sneaky, JD...
I saw the show, it was ultimately not terribly convincing. Oh, and I'm a little surprised that you'd accept this theory before it's even been peer-reviewed! (well...not really terribly surprised...)
1) Christianity is not dead, but keep ranting...it's funny stuff.
2) They didn't find the body of Jesus. They found a handful of questionable coffins, one of which is a proven fake. Another of which is a questionable identification (Mariamne = Mary Magdalene??? and how 'bout that DNA test for "marriage"? lol )
3) They haven't cloned any DNA from the tomb in question.
4) They didn't test the "Jesus" coffin and the "Judah" coffin DNA to confirm that the two were related.
If that's the kind of science you rely upon, Mr. Darwin... I have to wonder at the credibility of any other scientific theories you may support....

There is only one absolute truth here and that is religion, a revenue source that brings in billions of dollars every year, and by threatening that revenue, religion will use what ever it takes to down play any threat towards them, including violence against those that threaten their revenues, religion is nothing more than a money making machine, and has absolutely nothing to do with Jesus or God, other than these two names make billions for religious institutions, Christianity died at the death of Christ, and it was religion that took it from there because they seen that it would be the greatest money making machine the world has ever known right to this vary day, and unfortunately will continue to thrive on the backs of the poor, and down trodden that simply do not know any better.

I saw the same show and nothing has been proved...sheer speculation at this point. In the many reading it has been referenced that Jesus had children and brother and sister In those days brother and sister had different meanings (didn't necessarily mean blood relations) and even if they were to be the bones of Jesus, what would it matter. It in no way changes who he was or what the taught. Jesus was both of man and God ... Seems only reasonable that even though he rose from the dead ... being of man as well he would have bones that may have remained. His body that rose from the dead wasn't that of man, but that part of his being that was Almighty....he was 2 species in one form and at the time of His death, he was separate

So what finding the body of Jesus got to do with Christianity being wrong? I don't get your excitement - can you please elaborate, clear my mind a little.
The only thing that will probably move me from being a christian is the reasonable, logical, sensible and unbiased proof that the Bible is not "written by inspiration of God" and that holy men of God never "spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit".
At least, even the Chief enemy of Scripture, the Devil himself testifies that the Bible is inspired. He proved this when he tempted Jesus in the wilderness.
So, until somebody proves the Bible otherwise - the facts of science or human mind are insufficient to do this. Also the devil doesn't have the potential to do so.......

Please don't believe what you hear on television. Hollywood is starting the biggest hype ever and will pay for it in the long run.
Mocking the Lord is not a very smart thing to do.
They have a body of a man named Jesus and a wife and a son, but they don't have the body of Jesus Christ. If the Romans could have found the body of Jesus Christ it would have been posted and known all throughout history. They sealed his tomb with wax, string and the Roman seal to keep Jesus Christ from coming out of that grave and Jesus came out and made a mockery of those 16 Roman guards. The reason his tomb was sealed with wax is because the Romans were told that Jesus said He would arise in 3 days and He did. There was no body to be found and 16 Roman guards were witness to it. The disciples did not steal Jesus' body because they were scared to death of what was going to happen to them.
Hollywood continues to make a mockery out of human beings for their own financial gain in the falsehood that they produce.

They didn't clone it! It was mitochondrial DNA! They also didn't prove that it was Jesus of Nazareth. You know what else was on TV last night? The Butterfly Effect. However, I'm pretty sure Ashton Kutcher hasn't traveled back in time through his journals. I promise you that Christianity is not dead.

Jesus was put in a borrowed tomb. If the tomb had the name "Jesus" on it then it belonged to a man with the same name. How did anyone prove the DNA was Jesus Christ without an original test sample to compare it to? If you wish to attack my intelligence could you at least do so intelligently?

You know I almost felt sorry for the creator of that film. The scientists and theologians tore him to bits! Ted wasn't very nice to him either.
Remember this, The creator of the film (can't think of his name) did say there was another family, around the same time that had all the same names as Jesus'. They were all common names.
And isn't it funny that I remember when they found the box of James years ago not a single atheist I talked to thought it was legit but now they do. I guess we all tend to believe what we want eh?

Do you want an honest anwer?
The deal breaker was when you said "Christianity is dead." You might have found a basis to "crow" that your non-belief is justified. But with all due respect to say that the faith of millions of humans would suddenly cease to exist based on findings that are dubious at best is absurd.

Here is the perfect proof that athiest are desparate. they even had archeologist who checked out the tomb who were not Christian or inclined to it who said this Jesus is not the Jesus of the Bible. and the documentary did not say anything about cloning. even if it did who cares it is not Jesus Christ.
