Agree with the above poster, no amount of sit-ups are going to help with a double chin.

A plastic surgeon would be the best one to answer that question, depending on if your "double chins" are slight or severe. If slight, to moderate, they would be able to remove most of the fat cells down there and the results would be permanent. If severe, it could help and the results may be permanent, but may not be able to remove all if.

Sit-ups certainly wouldn't do anything to change a double chin. You need to call doctors in your area and find out what they'd change to minimize your double chins.

The biggest falicy of truth perceived by many is that situps will burn fat. Sorry to keep disappointing the masses, but without getting your heart rate up beyond 85% of its max, it ain't gonna happen. Situps and crunches do not get your heart rate to 85%. You'll just end up having a bunch of muscle hidden underneath your subcutaneous belly fat.
