There are no specific prophesies that point to Jesus. Most, if not all, of the so-called prophesies that Christianity relies on are not messianic at all, are misinterpreted and/or intentionally mistranslated, or are simply made up.

Further, Jesus never fulfilled the most important prophesies concerning the messiah and in fact, the polar opposite of what those prophesies promise occurred shortly after Jesus' death. Among these are the ingathering of exiles, rebuilding of the temple and re-institution of the sacrificial service, universal recognition and acceptance of God and world peace. During Jesus' life, the temple was extant and the sacrifices on-going. Strike 1. Shortly after Jesus' death, the Jews were mostly expelled from the Land (and/or murdered) by the Romans. Strike 2. Two thousand years hence and less that half the world's population recognize the One True God. Strike 3. Has there been a day in the last 2000 years when all the world's armies were idle!? Strike 4.

To paraphrase Johnnie Cochran....If it don't fit,.....

Yes, there are prophecies in the Tanakh. However, all the ones that he did fulfill, everybody could fulfill-- "he was born of a young woman" who isn't born of a young woman? Except for the few born of old women, but come on? (by the way, it's actually translated young woman, not virgin.)

J*sus fulfilled none of the prophesies the real moshiach would have to fulfill, a partial list (there are many more) is found here:

Is there universal knowledge of one G-d? (Jeremiah 31:33, Zechariah 8:23, 14:9, 14:16,
Isaiah 11:9, Isaiah 40:5, Zephaniah 3:9)
Were all Jews returned to Israel? (Isaiah 43:5-6, Isaiah 11:12, Isaiah 27:12-13)
Did he bring world peace? (Isaiah 11:6, Micah 4:3)
Were all weapons destroyed? (Ezekiel 39:9)
Did all warfare cease? (Isaiah 2:4)
Was the Temple rebuilt in it's place? (Ezekiel 37:24-28 Ezekiel 40-48, Isaiah 33:20, Micah
4:1)
Did he bring physical restoration to all who are sick or disabled in any way? (Isaiah
35:5-6)
Was he preceded by Elijah? (Malachi 3:23-24-- 4:4-5 in KJV)
Did the nations help the Jews materially? (Isaiah 60:5, 60:10-12, 61:6)
Does eternal joy and gladness characterize the Jewish nation? (Isaiah 51:11)
Are Jews sought for spiritual guidance? (Zechariah 8:23)
Is the Egyptian river dry yet? (Isaiah 11:15)
Do trees in Israel yield new fruit every month? (Ezekiel 47:12)
Did each tribe receive it's inheritance? (Ezekiel 47:13-14)
Is the enemy buried? (Ezekiel 39:12)
Did he accomplish these tasks without tiring or failing? (Isaiah 42:4)
Did death cease? (Isaiah 25:8)
Are the dead resurrected? (Isaiah 26:19, Daniel 12:2, Ezekiel 37:12-13)

AND Moshiach needs to do all of these things without dying, hence no "second coming" excuse. (Isaiah 42:4)

They actually do believe there was a man
named Jesus. However he was never accepted as the Son God, The Lamb of God, the promised Savior. For that very reason he was given to the gentiles because they did believe.....More and more Jews are believing and turning to Christianity.....So much infact that they are now asking for financial help to bring the Jews to Jerusalem from the Christians.

They believed Him to be a good teacher or Rabbi

In a nutshell, the Jews thought (and still think) that the Messiah was going to come as a King in all His glory, and rescue the Jews from persecution.

The Messiah didn't come as a rich king, but first as a baby, and then as a poor man, reaching the poor people, and the Kingdom He established is the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in every believer's heart -- not a physical kingdom, like the Jews believe.

The OT prophesies that refer to the Messiah coming as a King in the clouds are about the Last Days -- Jesus second coming. But, the Jews think the Messiah will initially come this way.

The Jews don't understand that the Kingdom has already come. The Kingdom is in every Believer's heart -- not a physical kingdom.

The rest of Israel were blinded (Rom11:7-8 below) to the truth that Jesus is the Messiah.

At the Sixth SEAL (Re.6:12-17), when the fullness of the Gentiles comes in, Israel will know that Jesus is the Messiah (Rom.11:25 below).

Rom.11:7 What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded (Rom.11:25 below)

Rom.11:8 (According as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear;) unto this day.

Rom.11:25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits, that blindness in part is happened to Israel (Rom.11:7-8 above), until the fulness of the Gentiles (1 Thess.4:5, Eph.2:12) be come in.

They believed that there will be a Messiah, but they see that Jesus didn't fulfill the prophecies, so they're waiting for him (The Messiah) to come.

Some of the jews , do believe in Jesus.

As I remember the prophecy says among other interesting things, that by the end of the world all the jews shall become Christians.

You must carefully read every word of the bible and you will find out interesting things, because God who is above all told us..things that we cannot understand and cannot find out reading scientifical books.

Because they did not accept him as the Messiah as prophesied, they are still (patiently) waiting for him to ride into Jerusalem riding a white donkey.

They do believe in the Messiah... they just think he's still coming and that Jesus wasn't him.
