diarrhea can be serious in a puppy, you really need to contact your vet. if he is being picky about his food, don't add anything to it to make it taste better. this will just make him more picky. a healthy puppy won't starve himself. he'll eat when he's hungry. i really think he needs to see a vet though for the diarrhea to make sure he is healthy!

Give him some cooked white rice with his food, it will help bind him up.
Did you just get him or just change his food to a different brand? That could be the cause of the diarrhea. Make sure you are feeding him a good quality "large breed puppy food".

He may have a bigger problem than not just eating his food. Dont try to feed him more or make it taste better. You said he is having diarrhea, i would take him to the vet he may have worms. Trying to treat simple diarrhea at home is worth the effort, but it's not a substitute for veterinary care. If he has been de-wormed then it may possibly be a different parasite, or maybe even a viral or bacterial infection.

Could be the food you may be feeding the dog, could be reacting to one or more of the products, I just switched dog foods for my lab pup, she is almost a year and noticed sometimes her stool was loose was feeding purina 1 lamb and rice now I put her on Nutro Ultra, adult food, she is doing fine in fact she has her tail up more and her stools are now normal. Had no problem switching foods, in fact she loves the food. Remember it is all about taste and smell for the dog.

we had the same problem. our lab pup had explosive diarrhea. one time he didnt' make it out the door. it was horrible. we didn't feed him any table scraps, we cut back on his treats and he still had a problem. so we switched his food from pro plan to royal canin for labs. and it worked. he has regular solid bowel movements now. and he loves the taste of it.

You may be feeding him too much each day. Lessen the amount you are feeding him. Avoid giving him table scraps and anything other than the dog food.

Lots of dogs are allergic to wheat. Try a rice based dog food.
