The Jews believe that the Mesiah will not be crucified, they don't believe there will be a second coming of the mesiah(which the christians believe), they believe that the Mesiah will not be the son of God, but he will be born of a mortal man and woman. He will be of the undisputed scion of David through his father. He will become uncontested ruler in the Land of Israel over all the People of Israel, that is, all Twelve Tribes of Israel. He will have at least one son, who will be king after the Messiah dies a normal death at an advanced age.The Messiah will bring an end to all suffering and war. He will teach the world how to revere truth, and they will all return to God. All forms of warfare will be abolished. They also believe the Mesiah will do all of these things on his first try hence the belief that there will be no second coming as prophsied with Christ. They believe that all the signs that the Torah states will be recognized in the Mesiah, therefore they believe he is yet to come. Hope that helps :)

Yes, there are prophecies in the Tanakh. However, all the ones that he did fulfill, everybody could fulfill-- "he was born of a young woman" who isn't born of a young woman? Except for the few born of old women, but come on? (by the way, it's actually translated young woman, not virgin.)
J*sus fulfilled none of the prophesies the real moshiach would have to fulfill, a partial list (there are many more) is found here:
Is there universal knowledge of one G-d? (Jeremiah 31:33, Zechariah 8:23, 14:9, 14:16,
Isaiah 11:9, Isaiah 40:5, Zephaniah 3:9)
Were all Jews returned to Israel? (Isaiah 43:5-6, Isaiah 11:12, Isaiah 27:12-13)
Did he bring world peace? (Isaiah 11:6, Micah 4:3)
Were all weapons destroyed? (Ezekiel 39:9)
Did all warfare cease? (Isaiah 2:4)
Was the Temple rebuilt in it's place? (Ezekiel 37:24-28 Ezekiel 40-48, Isaiah 33:20, Micah
4:1)
Did he bring physical restoration to all who are sick or disabled in any way? (Isaiah
35:5-6)
Was he preceded by Elijah? (Malachi 3:23-24-- 4:4-5 in KJV)
Did the nations help the Jews materially? (Isaiah 60:5, 60:10-12, 61:6)
Does eternal joy and gladness characterize the Jewish nation? (Isaiah 51:11)
Are Jews sought for spiritual guidance? (Zechariah 8:23)
Is the Egyptian river dry yet? (Isaiah 11:15)
Do trees in Israel yield new fruit every month? (Ezekiel 47:12)
Did each tribe receive it's inheritance? (Ezekiel 47:13-14)
Is the enemy buried? (Ezekiel 39:12)
Did he accomplish these tasks without tiring or failing? (Isaiah 42:4)
Did death cease? (Isaiah 25:8)
Are the dead resurrected? (Isaiah 26:19, Daniel 12:2, Ezekiel 37:12-13)
AND Moshiach needs to do all of these things without dying, hence no "second coming" excuse. (Isaiah 42:4)
There are many other reasons, but you only asked for the ones in the law.

People believe what they choose to believe. Prophecies are up to interpretation, so what may seem to be clear to you is not clear to another or they interpret it differently.

They wanted a war like messiah. Their teachers at the time wanted a war like leader. They were blinded by the lies of those who wanted temporal dominion. The followed instead Judas Maccabeus, who led them to disaster and destruction by the Romans.

Because they were (and still are) blinded from the truth by satan.
They believe that a series of good works will save them.....wrong.
Works cannot save you...Christ came to fulfill the law and to do away with works-based salvation.
