Do NOT NOT NOT go through a pet supermarket as someone here has been stupid enough to suggest. The type of breeder who would sell their puppies to a 3rd party without knowing where they will end up is the type of breeder who does not care in the slightest about the welfare of their breeding stock. Buying through a pet shop or dealer is financing puppy farmers.
Do as others have said - go through the Kennel Club or Great Dane Breed Clubs

Depending on where you live in the uk. In the northwest the loot.com is very good. I also recommend having a look in your local dog rescue centre you never know what you might come across. Also keep an eye out in your local paper. The kennel club with have registered breeders - so you will get a trustworty breeder.
Good Luck I hope you find one soon.

The Kennel Club is a great source of information about all things dog, including finding out about individual breeds and breeders with puppies currently available, by area. The following link will take you to the page about where to, and where not to, obtain puppies from.

There are plenty of rescue centres in the UK ( in fact I got my dog from one) Why don't you take you mum to one, she might just fall in love with a dog that needs a good home and plenty of TLC. Good luck in your search
