Satan has inspired many books to mislead people. The quran is a great example of that. It goes against God and denies Jesus as The Christ.

Every single man has so called Satan in him. Satan is all that is not truth. All your believes, etc... that are not experienced and are not out of time and space are made by so called Satan.

1 Peter 5:8 " Be sober ,be vigilant; because you adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about,seeking whom he may devour ". He is doing a lot more than what you said .Satan wants you to be rebellious against any authority , he wants to bring man down in anyway,drunkenness, divorce, murder ,etc...anything bad he encourages you to do it.
