As the first answer it's a scam. You have more than likely been infected with spy-ware or possibly a virus. If you have a virus killer and anti spy ware run checks with these first. If not then AVG Anti Virus, Zone Alarm Firewall, Spy-bot Search and Destroy and Ad Aware both spy ware killers can all be downloaded from the following link. http://www.computeractive.co.uk/ On the home page select downloads and then the appropriate category. It is safe to use two anti-spy products but never use more than one A/V as it can cause conflicts. After checking your system try your mail again. If still no success try system restore if you are running XP. Good Luck

If you replied to one of the e-mails that said, "Forward this to all your friends and MicroSoft/Disney/TimeWarner/GM will send you $500, 'cause they have the technology to do it", you fell victim to a scam. I don't know what you'll need to do to restore your system, though. I suggest you contact a local computer repair/service store.
