Disagree. Children need guidance, along with all your love, and protection. Children don't know how to live a free life. You brought these kids into the world. What in the world do you mean for a child to have freedom of management????????

Hmm to a point for things like choosing their daily clothing or how they decorate their room but children by the very definition are not capable of managing their lives, there is much too much information that they unaware of and there are too many people that will know this and take serious advantage of them. You have parents for a reason, do not be so quick to be on your own and be managing your life. It ain't as easy as it might look from your parent protected position. Be happy to have parents that love you enough to care.

Agree...kids need to be able to work out small conflicts on their own. It's a great learning tool for the real life. They need to be able to make choices that reflect who they are & what they want to do with their lives. Of course there should be limits such as curfew, & anything illegal. Children should also know that they have a parent that will help them make right choices & turn them around when things look like they might get sticky.

Agreeable, because most people learn after experience and when a parents tells a child no then that just makes a child wants to do it even more...I know that made me want to do it more...To me it's like you live and you learn...

This is age-related question. If the child is young or young teen then just some decisions like what to wear and things like this. Decisions are good for kids to make however they need to know that you have the final say. Once they are 18 unless they are livin at home then they legally can run their own lifes.

First, How old are the children?
Disagree, because physiologically they are ready to be independent, but they could have a supervised freedom to learn how to be independent in the future.

How old are the children?
As long as they live at home, there's no freedom, once they move out they can do what they want.

Every child needs freedom to a point. However they also need limits. Until they are 18 and can get out, find a job, and take care of themselves.

Not freedom, but sometimes choices are appropriate. For example, don't ask "What would you like for breakfast?", but ask "Do you want cornflakes or rice crisps for breakfast?" Same with clothes - have two outfits prepared, let them choose which one they want to wear. Gives them a feeling of power and control, while still within boundaries.
