I had this kind of problems too. You can use betanine(dezinfectant used in surgery -it's cheap don't worry). Be sure to use it on the back of the ear too. Use it daily, ore twice /day but watch out it's red-orange coloured, and it stains so watch your clothes. You can use medicinal alcohool too but i's not as effective. Make sure that the earring you are wearing are of stainless steel or gold (silver tends to get black even if it is a precious metal so i dont' recomand it). You can also find medicinal earrings at every pharmacy and they are also very cheap. wear them until it heels (about 2 weeks to be sure).

I'm a nurse unless you get something herbal, there is no medication you can get without a prescription, see a doctor. If left untreated it could turn into something much worse. I hope things go well for you, all the best.

that happened to me, i used hydrogen peroxide and rubbing alcohol on it once or twice a day. if it doesnt get better you should probably take the gauge out.
