Anyone who knows anything, knows it's not the tube. If you haven't already done this, unplug the set for a few minutes and plug it back in. This resets the system control circuit. If that doesn't take care of it, some type of power surge may have zapped some semiconductors in the power supply. My experience has been zener diodes are the first to go when an electrical storm comes close. Right, Reggie?

Do you have satellite TV? If so, the storm could've messed up the receiver & the service would come out & fix it. If not, I'm betting that lightning got it. If thats the case, I don't think it can be repaired. Check your local classified ads for a good used one. I bet you could get one for around $100 (maybe less)

Buy considering what you paid for it, verses getting it repaired isn't worth it prolly.

Usually its a bridge rectifier that goes out, but Sanyos aren't really built to protect it self ( Hence really cheap, Sanyo doesn't expect you to get it repaired).

Either take it to a local TV repair shop and pay the diagnostic fee or junk it and buy a better unit.

Toshiba
