I do not think believing in the law of attraction is denying God. I guess it depends on your idea of what god is. It may be denying the existence of the God portrayed in the Bible and in traditional religious beliefs, but many people don't believe in that God anyway. The law of attraction fits in well with "New thought" and the New Thought" idea of God. But remember that New Thought isn't really new, it was believed in by the ancients also and fits in with the mysteries, type beliefs.

The law of attraction is supported by the principals of Quantum Physics and to me New Thought is really the only type of spiritual beliefs that are supported by science.

The word, "Universe" can be used to refer to the physical universe, or can be a way of describing God, as in: God is the Universe, the universe is God. From what I can see, from a perspective of almost fifty years of study/prayer/meditation, the Secret is based on metaphysical principles. Every so often, someone discovers these principles, and makes a big deal of them, because the discoverer does not realize that the principles of metaphysics have always been. These do not preclude God's existence, in fact they expand our understanding of what God actually is, as opposed to a static, objectified "person" somewhere beyond the clouds...God gives us everything because God is everything. That is, everything real, nothing unreal, for nothing unreal exists.
