Ahh, the head and neck are fun aren't they! LOL. (student myself) So, aside from all the internet sites available, I've done well with anatomy picture books. Make sure you can get pictures from different slices as to get different views. Also, try to get your hands on some Xrays and CTs. CTs are great!

well, anterior neck muscles are easy, they are named for their attachments (sternothyroid, cricothyroid, etc) The rest is straight up memorization. Doesn't you school do anatomy in the fall of first year?
