You could have something as simple as a vitamin deficiency. Try taking some multivitamins (make sure they have B and D) for a couple of weeks.
Don't be embarassed, your doctor has seen much worse. You're just another interesting case. And if he/she makes you feel embarassed, find another physician. A doctor is there to help, not be worshiped.

A bacterial infection brought on by continual allergies and dust. It could also be due to rhinitis so you really need to go and see your doctor.
The problem is that unless you get some anibiotics to clear it up it never will as when you try and clean your nose another scab will form. One trip to the doctors is worth days of misery and pain.
I know I'm the allergy Queen of the UK and know all about these things.
Yes and Purple moo is right about MRSA it lurks in the nose of some folk.

Since these scabs don't go away they are less likely to be herpetic, which tend to come and go. It sounds more like they might be a staphylococcal infection. I am afraid you do need to go to see your GP.
He will need to swab your nose, and if the diagnosis is confirmed he will prescribe antibiotics. Since you have had them so long he may well want to do some additional health checks.

A lot of people here are saying it could be cold sores, cold sores are Herpes.
However you are not going to find out what it is until you go to the doctor.
There are all sorts of things that can cause this, including some awful complaints too awful to mention. However, the nose is one of the most likely places to carry MRSA so please see your doctor urgently, especially as they are not clearing up.

Its probably due to the cold months we are in and when your heat is on in the house it can be very 'dry', do you notice alot of static in your clothes or hair?
use a humidifier especially in your bedroom and see if that helps clear up the scabs before getting scared about a herpes virus. Good Luck =)

No it is nothing to do with herpes. The lining of the nose is inflammed. Sniff warm saline water several times a day.
This should ease it.

Yeah, I've had them before. Unfortuantely, there's not much you can do for them, just let time heal. Mine lasted for about 2 months and it kept bleeding but I picked it which probably wasn't a good idea but it eventually healed itself.

They might just be cold sores, when you get them up your nose they take ages to clear up and I know they are annoying , try some cold sore treatment cream like zovirax. I hope that helps.
