His asked for Wisdom.
And like the Book says. If we desire wisdom. Then ask the Creator, who gives to all generously. And it will be given to you.

Every Hero of a story , fiction or non fiction, is termed as the wisest or the bravest or the kindest. Some how the tag of being the wisest has got stuck and got popular with King Solomon. Whatever, the stories of King Solomon are very interesting to read and listen. The answer to the question has been given by the questioner himself and it indeed is interesting to get this info and has a universal appeal to it. But why "our creator". There is no 'our' or 'there' about God!

Solomon Asked to have an Umpire never had been for a king before and wont be for a king after, so he was given control of the wind, animals, demons and natural powers, he was taught all the languages in the world...
